Description
The Leading Edge© Transformational Leadership Development Program outlined in this summary book recognizes and respects the impact of leadership on student and school performance and success. Through a conscientious and dedicated commitment to the students who will ultimately be affected by the implementation of this program, the content was developed to provide professional development that advances education processes by caring, first and foremost, about student needs and providing assistance to those most responsible for ensuring that the needs are met, the leaders within the schools.
The goals of the program are:
- To effect measurable improvements in the comprehensive leadership skills and abilities of school leaders, and
- To develop and support school leaders who are proficient in and dedicated to high levels of student performance through continuous school improvement efforts.
Following established lines of research, these two goals are designed to support a third resultant goal, that of enhancing student and school performance.
