The streets had been steadily buzzing since Elvis Thomas Jones had arrived at Unison Middle School. Big, burly, with a long cut on his chin you’d think he was a really tough guy. His nickname, Big Tom Jones, didn’t help. Back in third grade, Big Tom lived up to his name by bullying a steady rotation of miserable, helpless 2nd, 3rd, even 4th graders. But that was five years ago and he’s made some real changes along the way to eighth grade.
When Ed and his pals decided to introduce themselves, the surprise they discovered had the power to change Unison Middle School and possibly the entire McComb, community.
